It's more than a Meal. It's an Experience! The Veranda has won awards with the Go Texan program through the Texas Restaurant Association and the Texas Department of Agriculture.
What started as a video project to highlight businesses affected by Harvey after they reopen has expanded to an ongoing initiative to help people in our community find and continually support them. “The Take 2 videos sponsored by Your Local ServiceMaster are very helpful in raising awareness for these locally owned and operated businesses once they’ve reopened. Video blended with social media and other online formats has become a very powerful tool in getting exposure and new customers from a targeted area.” says Local Influence, LLC owner Mark Linabury. “After seeing how the Take 2 videos are helping businesses, I wanted to create something that continues to spotlight and feature them while attracting new customers. Something that we as a community can get behind and make a difference. That is why I created LocalMeA, an online publication with a localized searchable directory that allows users to identify reopened and even ‘Best Of Local’ businesses. You can review experiences, redeem deals, and share them with others. LocalMeA can make it happen and together we keep it local! In fact, users sign up for free as Local Influencers”.
Linabury is donating a year’s worth of marketing & advertising (including video production!) for locally owned-and-operated, once flooded businesses located in the Lake Houston Area. This marketing package also includes a featured listing on LocalMeA.com combined with other customer generating features. Local Influence is also known for its online reputation management system, ReputationAMP. “Online reviews have become vital in generating new customers and should be part of any successful marketing strategy. I’m including ReputationAMP as part of the total donated package.” What Linabury calls “Getting Your Business Locally Influenced” is a $2,500 annual package. As of July, Local Influence will have done this for more than twenty once flooded businesses and looks forward to helping more. To qualify, businesses need to be locally owned and located in the Lake Houston Area.
