DNA Studios acquires Legacy Sports

Sam Schrade, Owner of DNA Studios, LLC a Houston, Texas based mobile facilities company, has acquired Texas based Legacy Sports Productions. DNA Studios will have 7 mobile trucks for their network TV clients and will become the largest Texas-based provider of cameras, graphics, audio and replay equipment.

 

DNA Studios, LLC has acquired the assets of Texas-based Legacy Sports Productions (LSP). The acquisition adds to the DNA Studios, LLC production capabilities, which provides mobile production facilities, packaging and studio services.

 

The acquisition and combined entity will deliver close to 300 games and events in 2018 including college football, college basketball, Major League Lacrosse, Major League Rugby, and continuing to produce games for ESPN, CBS Sports Network, FOX Sports regionals, The MLB Network, ATT Sports Southwest, Eleven Sports, and many more.

 

Sam Schrade will continue as the CEO of DNA Studios. Jim Barton will become VP of Sales and will focus on a “coast-to-coast” strategy. The acquisition will make DNA Studios the largest provider of tv trucks based in Texas with 7 available units varying from trailers to 53 foot expandos,

Legacy Sports Productions has provided streaming and broadcast operations for 20 years.

“This agreement will greatly boost the production capabilities of DNA Studios. We will have positioned ourselves to have traditional trucks as well as two REMI studios in our 3,000 square foot building in Houston that has connectivity to most of the major networks,” said Schrade.

 

DNA Studios’ management team and employees have extensive industry experience and have provided excellent quality and service since DNA opened in 2007.

 

DNA Studios is a million dollar privately held corporation and has been nominated several times for the Houston area’s Small Business of the Year. They are members of the Sports Video Group trade organization and are also members of the Greater Houston Partnership and Lake Houston Area Chamber of Commerce.

 

Sam Schrade is the founder and sole owner of the company. He’s been the recipient of several awards including the 2017 Young Professional of the Year Award for the Lake Houston Area Chamber of Commerce. He has 27 years in the broadcast industry and is known for creative and innovative solutions.

 

Jim Barton brings a vast amount of experience and relationships in the industry. He has an extensive background in sales and financial industries.

  • DNA JT – Jumbotron Video Screen Truck with 20 foot screen with SDI, DVI, VGA and composite inputs.
  • DNA FP6 – Flypack with 4 cams, 40x lens, 2 M/E Switcher, replay, x32 Ch Digital audio and much more
